Richard Childress Racing driver Tyler Reddick battled for the win during the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway while honoring America’s military with a patriotic No. 8 Chevrolet.
With the support of longtime team partner Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, Reddick’s No. 8 sported a special red, white, and blue paint scheme and saluted United States Army Specialist Albert Tristan on the windshield banner. SP4 Tristan was serving in Vietnam when he lost his life on July 6, 1970.
