Kyle Busch wasted little time in visiting Victory Lane with his new Richard Childress Racing team. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series® champion picked up the win in the second race of the 2023 season – the Pala Casino 400 at Auto Club Speedway in California.
Busch took the victory with his No. 8 Lucas Oil Chevrolet Camaro in just his second points-paying start since joining the RCR organization in the off-season. He took the lead for the final time with just 20 laps remaining and cruised beneath the checkered flag for the 61st NASCAR Cup Series® victory of his career. Busch’s first win at RCR came in the final race of the current two-mile configuration at Auto Club Speedway before it is transformed into a short track.
